CSConjoint Survey

End User License Agreement

Effective date: August 14, 2026

This End User License Agreement governs access to and use of Conjoint Survey, including free accounts, Paid accounts, respondent pages, exports, analysis tools, documentation, templates, and all related service features. By creating an account, accessing the app, buying a plan, publishing a survey, or continuing to use the service, you agree to this EULA and to all policies posted on the Conjoint Survey website, including the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Data Retention Policy, pricing terms, plan limits, and any other posted operating policies. Those policies are incorporated into this agreement by reference.

License

Conjoint Survey grants each authorized account holder a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access the hosted service through one researcher account for ordinary academic, instructional, nonprofit, government, or internal research use. This is access to an online service, not a sale of software, source code, infrastructure, intellectual property, or a transferable business asset.

Free and Paid access

Free access is subject to the free-plan limits posted on the website and in the app. Free accounts are intended to let one researcher try the workflow and run one real study within the stated usage caps. We may change, limit, suspend, or end free access to preserve service reliability, prevent abuse, or keep the product sustainable.

Paid access means access for the lifetime of the Conjoint Survey service as operated by the current business, subject to this EULA, posted policies, plan limits, provider availability, lawful operation, and normal research use. Paid access is not a promise that the service will operate forever, that features or limits will never change, or that access will continue after the business changes ownership.

If we discontinue the Conjoint Survey service, wind down the business, stop operating the product, become unable to provide the service, or otherwise end the business, Paid plans end when the service ends. If Conjoint Survey, its domain, product assets, customer accounts, user base, or business are sold, assigned, merged, or transferred to another entity, Paid plans do not bind the buyer or successor unless that entity expressly chooses to honor them. In that situation, your Paid plan may end at or after the transfer.

The Paid plan belongs only to the individual account holder who purchased it. It does not transfer to heirs, estates, family members, employers, students, coauthors, institutions, collaborators, purchasers of your assets, or any other person or organization. If the account holder dies, the license ends.

Plan limits and changes

The Paid plan currently includes up to 1,000 saved surveys, up to 10,000 completed responses per survey, up to 50,000 completed responses lifetime, and AI Help subject to 100 questions per calendar month, 1,200 per calendar year, and 3,000 questions lifetime, plus paid export, coauthor-viewing, completion-code, redirect, and archive features. "Paid" means eligible access for the lifetime of the service under the posted limits; it does not mean unlimited surveys, unlimited responses, unlimited AI usage, unlimited storage, unlimited compute, unlimited exports, or unlimited use. These limits are intended for normal research use and are not an unlimited infrastructure, respondent-hosting, resale, or service-bureau entitlement.

AI Help usage limits

AI Help is available to eligible Paid accounts and is limited to 100 successfully answered questions per calendar month, 1,200 successfully answered questions per calendar year, and 3,000 successfully answered questions over the lifetime of the account. Monthly and annual allowances reset according to the service's calendar counters and do not roll over. The lifetime allowance does not reset. Reaching any applicable limit pauses further AI Help answers until the monthly or annual allowance resets, unless the lifetime allowance has been exhausted.

A question counts toward these limits only when AI Help successfully returns an answer. Requests blocked by safety or security controls and requests that fail before an answer is returned do not count. Follow-up questions are separate questions. We may also apply short-term rate limits, global service-budget controls, input-length limits, output limits, and other anti-abuse or availability controls.

AI Help is an automated third-party-model feature intended only for product troubleshooting and general research workflow information. It may be unavailable, incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a particular study. You must independently review its answers and must not submit respondent data, confidential research, personal information, credentials, or other sensitive material.

If you reach a lifetime response cap or another lifetime usage cap, you may purchase another Paid plan if Paid plans are still offered and your account remains in good standing. Additional purchases are subject to the then-current price, limits, terms, anti-abuse rules, and availability.

Technical limits may also apply to preserve reliability and prevent abuse. Current controls include respondent rate limits, account request limits, result/export data-fetch limits of 20 per minute, 100 per hour, and 500 per day, a stricter 25 per hour result/export limit for large studies with more than 5,000 completed responses, and daily limits on repeated archive or academic-packet generation. These controls apply to result refreshing and exports; they are not intended to cap lawful respondent completions below the posted plan limits.

We may change plan limits, security controls, anti-abuse rules, usage caps, feature availability, export behavior, retention rules, and other operating policies at any time. Continued use after posted changes means you accept the updated rules. We may apply new limits to existing Paid accounts when needed to preserve reliability, security, legal compliance, financial sustainability, or fair access for other users.

Restrictions

You may not resell, rent, lease, sublicense, lend, transfer, assign, share, repackage, white-label, or commercially exploit Conjoint Survey access. You may not operate Conjoint Survey as a service bureau, managed research platform, agency tool, shared departmental account, public login, or client-facing product unless we separately agree in writing.

You may not evade free-tier or paid-plan limits; create repeated accounts to obtain additional free usage; share credentials; scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, attack, overload, interfere with, or attempt unauthorized access to the service; use bots or automation that harms availability or data integrity; or use the service for unlawful, deceptive, harmful, or rights-infringing activity.

Research responsibilities

You are responsible for your own study design, respondent recruitment, consent language, IRB or ethics review, data-security procedures, panel terms, participant compensation, publication claims, and compliance with law and institutional rules. Conjoint Survey provides software, design guardrails, documentation, exports, and analysis tools, but it does not provide legal advice, IRB approval, statistical consulting, publication guarantees, or a warranty that any study will be accepted by a journal.

Conjoint Survey involves randomized designs, probabilistic processes, statistical estimation, user-provided inputs, third-party infrastructure, and software automation. Mistakes, outages, omissions, interruptions, calculation errors, export errors, display errors, data-handling errors, randomization problems, and other failures can and will happen. You are solely responsible for checking study designs, randomization, survey links, respondent data, exports, estimates, tables, plots, methods text, and all other outputs before using them, sharing them, submitting them, publishing them, or relying on them.

Conjoint Survey does not provide professional, legal, compliance, IRB, data-protection, statistical, publication, grant, employment, tenure, or academic advice. Any templates, examples, documentation, methods text, launch checklists, AI-assisted text, help text, sample language, or suggested workflows are informational starting points only. You are responsible for reviewing and adapting them for your own institution, law, discipline, journal, panel provider, and study.

Errors, omissions, and output verification

Conjoint Survey and AI Help can and will make mistakes. Outputs may contain errors, omissions, hallucinations, incorrect calculations, faulty assumptions, misleading summaries, incomplete exports, inaccurate labels, software defects, or other unreliable content. We make no guarantee that any design, randomization, calculation, estimate, table, plot, export, documentation, template, recommendation, or AI-generated answer is accurate, complete, current, reliable, reproducible, or suitable for your purpose.

You use and rely on the service and every output at your own risk. You must independently inspect and verify all consequential inputs and outputs before fielding a study, recruiting or paying respondents, making a decision, submitting an IRB or institutional filing, sharing results, or publishing research. Where appropriate, verify outputs with source data, independent software, qualified professional review, and your institution's requirements.

Data and content

You keep ownership of study designs, respondent data, exports, and other content you upload or collect through the service. You give Conjoint Survey the limited rights needed to host, process, secure, analyze, display, export, back up, and operate that content for the service. You represent that you have the rights, approvals, and lawful basis needed for the data you collect.

You are responsible for maintaining your own exports, archives, replication files, local backups, institutional records, consent records, and copies of data needed for publication, review, audit, or compliance. Conjoint Survey is not your sole archive, repository, records system, or guaranteed long-term storage system.

Availability and third-party services

Conjoint Survey is provided on a best-effort basis. There is no service-level agreement, uptime commitment, support response commitment, recovery-time commitment, or data-restoration commitment unless we separately sign a written agreement saying so. The service may be interrupted, delayed, degraded, unavailable, changed, rate limited, or discontinued.

The service depends on third-party providers and systems, including payment processors, sign-in providers, hosting providers, database providers, DNS and network providers, browsers, operating systems, email systems, survey panels, learning-management systems, survey platforms, and other infrastructure or integrations. We are not responsible for failures, outages, delays, data loss, provider changes, browser behavior, blocked traffic, security events, billing problems, sign-in problems, account restrictions, provider policy changes, or other acts or omissions of third-party providers.

Support

We may attempt to answer support requests, investigate issues, fix problems, restore access, explain features, or help with account, billing, data, export, or survey problems, but support is provided on a best-effort basis only. Unless we separately sign a written support agreement, we do not promise any particular response time, resolution time, workaround, fix, feature change, data recovery, refund, escalation path, or outcome. Failure to provide support, delayed support, incomplete support, or inability to resolve a problem does not create liability beyond the limits in this EULA.

Security and sensitive data

No internet, browser, hosting, database, authentication, payment, or transmission system is guaranteed to be secure, uninterrupted, or error free. You are responsible for limiting the data you collect, avoiding unnecessary sensitive or directly identifying respondent information, securing exported files, complying with privacy and data-protection obligations, and using appropriate institutional safeguards. Our liability for security incidents, data incidents, unauthorized access, or data loss is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

New features and beta features

New, experimental, beta, preview, recently released, or substantially changed features may be incomplete, unstable, inaccurate, unavailable, or later removed. You use those features at your own risk and remain responsible for verifying outputs before using them in research, teaching, publication, respondent recruitment, or institutional records.

Payment, refunds, and taxes

The Paid plan requires a one-time payment for eligible access under this EULA. Payments are processed by Stripe. Unless required by law or expressly agreed in writing, Paid plan payments are non-refundable, including if your account is terminated for breach, if the service changes, if you stop using the service, if the service is later discontinued, or if the business is sold or transferred.

Termination

We may suspend, limit, or terminate access immediately for breach of this EULA or posted policies, suspected fraud, resale, security risk, unlawful use, payment abuse, excessive or abnormal usage, data-integrity risk, or conduct that threatens the service, users, respondents, providers, or business. When practical, we may provide notice and an opportunity to fix an issue, but we are not required to do so when immediate action is needed.

Intellectual property

Conjoint Survey, including its software, interface, documentation, branding, analysis workflows, templates, and website content, is owned by Conjoint Survey or its licensors. Except for the limited license above, no rights are transferred to you.

Disclaimers and limits of liability

THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS," "AS AVAILABLE," AND "WITH ALL FAULTS." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, reliability, reproducibility, uninterrupted operation, data availability, error-free analysis, and suitability for any specific journal, grant, IRB, course, panel, decision, or research project.

We are not liable for website outages, downtime, lost access, delayed access, data mistakes, missing data, corrupted data, inaccurate outputs, incomplete exports, software errors, omissions, statistical mistakes, randomization mistakes, documentation mistakes, or damages caused to you or others by any mistake, interruption, or omission in the service. You accept responsibility for verifying all results and for any decisions, submissions, publications, payments, respondent communications, institutional filings, or other actions based on the service.

We are not liable for article rejection, correction, retraction, desk rejection, replication failure, reviewer criticism, IRB or ethics-board issues, grant issues, tenure or promotion consequences, employment consequences, course consequences, institutional complaints, respondent complaints, panel-provider disputes, panel bans, recruitment problems, payment disputes with respondents, or other professional, academic, institutional, reputational, or third-party harms connected to your use of the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Conjoint Survey will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, lost-profit, lost-data, lost-publication, lost-grant, or business-interruption damages. Our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid for Conjoint Survey in the 12 months before the claim, or $100, whichever is greater, unless a higher amount is required by law.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, liability exclusions, or liability limits, including for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury, or statutory rights. In those cases, the disclaimers and limits in this EULA apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Conjoint Survey from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your studies, respondent data, consent process, recruitment, exports, publications, misuse of the service, violation of law, violation of panel or institutional rules, breach of this EULA, or infringement of another party's rights.

Governing law

This EULA is governed by the laws of Georgia, USA, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Any dispute must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, USA, unless applicable law requires another forum. You and Conjoint Survey waive any right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, representative action, private attorney general action, or consolidated proceeding to the fullest extent permitted by law. If any part of this EULA is unenforceable, the remaining parts remain in effect.

Force majeure

We are not responsible for delay, failure, interruption, data loss, or nonperformance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labor disputes, government action, legal changes, internet failures, power failures, provider failures, cyberattacks, security incidents, epidemics, payment-network issues, DNS failures, cloud-provider incidents, or other force majeure events.

Updates and contact

We may update this EULA and posted policies over time. Material updates will be posted on the website. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated agreement. If you have institutional purchasing, accessibility, data, or legal requirements, contact us before purchase at info@conjointsurvey.com.
