Follow These Steps

Work through these 7 steps at your own pace. The wording is intentionally practical, and you can return to the checklist at the end when you are ready to review your work.

1. Open the dashboard.
2. Click Import Survey.
3. Try direct import first if the document already has clear question wording and answer options.
4. If direct import misses questions, options, sliders, or checkbox items, use the chatbot prompt below to convert the instrument into the simple import structure.
5. Save the cleaned output as a .txt or Word file.
6. Import the cleaned file.
7. Review every question name, wording, type, option, slider range, and skip condition before saving or publishing.

QUESTION WORDING: Full question wording shown to respondents.
QUESTION TYPE: Multiple Choice, Checkboxes, Open Text, Slider, Matrix/Grid, or Instructions
REQUIRED: Yes or No
OPTIONS:
- Option 1

Rules:
- Put one blank line between question blocks.
- Use lower-case snake_case question names.
- For consent, introduction, instructions, or debrief text, use QUESTION TYPE: Instructions and omit OPTIONS.
- For open-ended text boxes, use QUESTION TYPE: Open Text and omit OPTIONS.
- For radio-button questions with one selected answer, use QUESTION TYPE: Multiple Choice.
- For select-all-that-apply questions, use QUESTION TYPE: Checkboxes.
- Keep option wording exactly as written when possible.
- Remove page numbers, export metadata, survey-flow labels, and software formatting lines.
- If a question is ambiguous, choose the most likely type and keep it editable.

A Quick Confidence Check
